It is a humble confession of our own lack of Self-confidence”

Self respect builds you, Self respect is that element of our character. Respecting oneself not only builds your confidence but also removes your ego as you realize your true worth. By definition self respect  “includes a person’s subjective appraisal of himself or herself as intrinsically positive or negative to some degree.

Hari Om !
Let discrimination prevail in our life. A life without discrimination is not life at all. One lacking of discrimination will face troubles and misery at every step. Of course people say“ I have attained success in life by virtue of discrimination…. I have become an Engineer …Doctor … I have become the proud owner of so many factories…. I have taken such and such great responsibility on my shoulders…… I have attained such a great position and power…. So many people admire and respect me, etc….”No ! This is not discrimination. Success in business, amassing wealth, having one’s physical form admired, building palatial houses, etc… is the products of one’s ordinary discrimination. What is so great about becoming an engineer and constructing a building?
A bird too makes its nest and resides therein. To learn medical science and remove diseases of the physical body, etc. all spring from ordinary discrimination.

What is Discrimination? Here is true meaning of discrimination: – To develop a comprehensive understanding of –What is Truth, What is Illusion, What is Eternal and what is transient- and then assimilating this knowledge in to one’s life is true discrimination. What Makes You Unhappy? With a calm and composed mind try to find out as to what really makes you unhappy. Is it a lack of – wealth, intellectual expertise, resourcefulness, tact, good health, physical strength or wisdom in worldly affairs? But then there are millions in this world who possess wealth, intellectual expertise, resourcefulness, physical strength, and a good deal of worldly knowledge; and yet we are unhappy. People are not unhappy because they lack these worldly possessions or knowledge; the true reason for our sorrow is that despite knowing everything about this world, we are ignorant about our own true self. When a person becomes lover of his true self, the worries regarding livelihood, thoughts about women and the painful memories of enemies cease to exist. The world, filled with mistrust and dishonesty can do no harm to a truthful and righteous aspirant. One who keeps his mind in perfect control even in the most difficult circumstances and is not affected by anger or grief is a true mahatma. Bestow mercy and love upon those who try to harm you the most, since they are but your own self. Therefore, one should brush aside all his resolves and counter resolves, mental and physical vices and every financial trouble to engross oneself whole heartedly in the pursuit of advantaging the consciousness.

Respected parents and my dear children this article is written after a keen
observation of the students of today. In a class of 40 students 20% of them are having a
goal and will be interested in studies and the other 80% are just attending the school
without any goal but to attend the same. Thus to create interest among the students to
study, they should set their goal. Here are a few tips for setting and achieving the goal.
Children have you thought about what you want to be? If you want to succeed, you
need to set goals, without goals you lack focus and direction. Setting goals gives your
life direction, and boosts your motivation and self confidence. Goal setting, not only
allows you to take control of your life’s direction, it also provides you a benchmark for
determining whether you are actually succeeding.
To accomplish your goals, however you need to know how to set them. You
can’t simply say ‘I want’ and expect it to happen. Goal setting is a process that starts
with careful consideration of what you want to achieve and ends with a lot of hard
work to actually do it. In between there are some very well defined steps that
transcend the specifics of each goal. Knowing these steps will allow you to formulate
goals that you can accomplish.
Method 1 : Setting achievable goals.
1. Determine your life goals.
2. Break the big picture down into smaller and more specific goals.
3. Write goals for the short term.
4. Make your goals steps towards life goals.
5. Adjust your goals periodically ( if necessary)

Method 2 : Practicing effective goal strategies.
1. Make your goals specific.
2. Create measurable goals.
3. Be realistic with your goals.
4. Set priorities (decide which goals are more important).
5. Keep track of your progress ( self or with the help of others)
6. Assess your goals.
My humble request to the parents is to help your children set goals and achieve them,
then they will focus and study well. Both parents and teachers are the guides for the
children. Motivate them and help them to be achievers.
