“Think Green and live Green”

Vana Mahotsav means “Tree Festival”. This planting festival is observed annually over a period of week starting from 1st July to 7th July. Van Mahotsav was started in 1950 by Dr.K.M.Munshi, Union Minister for Agriculture. The programme was started with informative speech on the importance of safeguard trees and forest. Children of Pre-Primary and Primary gave awareness speech on Van Mahotsav. There was an activity for the students to plant a sapling using mud, water and sprouts. The students watered the saplings. The goal is to make a connection between the students and the trees through a process of experience and creation. At the end of the programme saplings were gifted to school. Mrs. Bhuvaneshwari Navada gave some inspiring words about Van Mahotsav. The programme was ended with Shanti Mantra.
