International Yoga Day 21/07/2020

“Health is Wealth and Peace of mind is happiness, Yoga shows the way.”

International Yoga day was observed with great enthusiasm. Out of 12 Asanas , few were demonstrated. Our P.E Masters demonstrated these Asanas and enabled all the teachers to know the benefits of Yoga in one’s life. Mr Mallappa L gave a speech on the significance of Yoga. A chart depicting the postures of Suryanamaskar was also put up on the notice board.

 

Environment Day 05/06/2020

The day was observed with all love for the environment. The theme was “Time for Nature “. The programme enabled us to reinforce the concept of sparing time for the love of environment. It’s a responsibility of every responsible citizen to maintain the equilibrium in the nature.

 

Founder’s Day 04/06/2020

Founder’s Day was observed  on 4th June in the memory of  Dr S S Gorewho sowed the seeds of education through Chinmaya Educational Institutions in the year 1990. It was a formal function and a speech to appreciate the dedication and contribution of Dr. S.S. Gore to the Chinmaya Educational institutions was presented.

National Science Day

National Science day is celebrated every year on February 28th to commemorate discovery of the “Raman effect” which was discovered by Indian scientist sir Chandrashekhar Venkat Raman or CV Raman.

The basic object of celebration of National science day is to propagate the massage of importance of science and its application among people. To create interest in science various competitions were held in the school premises.

List of competitions:

Std I to II — Drawing and colouring

Std III      — Chart making

Std IV      — Pick and write

Std V       — Quiz

The children participated with great interest and won prizes.

The theme for 2020 was “Women in science”.

 

Matru puja ( I to V )

Goddess in the heaven are always worshipped during festivals. But Goddess on the earth, who give birth to us our Mother should also be worshipped. She sacrifices so many things in life just to see that her children grow and lead a successful life.

Nobody in this world can do, what a mother does for her child.

To respect the sacrifices and the pain that she takes to make a life, Chinmaya Vidyalaya had arranged “Matru Puja” for the mothers of STD V students on 15/02/2020.

Children of STD V with great love and devotion did the padapooja and got their mother’s blessings. Mothers became very emotional and thanked the teachers and management members for arranging such a beautiful pragramme for them which  gave awarness and importance of mother to the children on this day,

Programme ended with Shanti Mantra and distribution of sweets.

NODAL TRAINING FOR CBSE EXAMINATION

Mr. Arvindam  Roy Choudhary, Senior officer of the CBSE Board gave a list of the Affiliation Byelaws of the Board and revised the many laws connected to the Board and the schools coming under the CBSE Board, Delhi. The “8 digit roll number” was intimated.

Sir also spoke about the many shortcoming which the Board has experienced in the previous years. To overcome all such shortcomings, he spoke about the role of all the affiliated schools, which act as centres for examination to follow certain rules and regulations.

Excursion for students of Std VI

Children boarded the bus at 6am and reached Hampi at 10.30am. On the way children had their breakfast. First they  visited Virupaksha Temple. They  had lunch at the temple. Later on the children visited Ganapati temple, Badwi Linga and Laxmi Narasimha. The Guide who accompanied us narrated The incident of Laxmi Narasimha and many other things. Later on children visited Vijaya Vittala temple and saw the Stone Chariot. At 5′ O clock children boarded the bus and went to see the Hospet dam. At 7pm Children left Hospet and reached safely to Hubballi at 11pm.

It was a worth visiting place for the children to see the beautiful artifacts of ancient Kings.

A visit to a “Sun ray” Solar museum

Solar energy is a radiant light and heat from the sun that is harnessed using a range of technologies such as solar heater, photovoltaic cell, thermal etc.

To create an awareness among the students about this magical energy they were taken to the solar museum, which is one of its kind.

Mr. Mahesh Shivashimpiger, a solar scientist, founder of this “World’d first solar Museum” spoke about the need to harness the energy and also showed the construction and working of different models.

Children enjoyed the visit and gained a greater understanding about this renewable energy source.

Pratibha Puraskar

The knowledge, culture, principles and overall talent hidden among the teachers and students were recognized and honoured by  “Lions Club, Hubballi” parivar.

Fourteen schools from all over Hubballi were in the final list (11 state Board and 3 CBSE).

Mrs.Vinuta K (teacher) and  two students Ms.Hritika Sudi and Chi.Ramnath.S were felicitated in the program. All the office bearers and the members were present.

Shri. Mahendra Singhi, The Chairman welcomed the gathering and Shri. Shashi Sali gave the introductory note.

Felicitation program was conducted by Shri. Basavraj Horatti.

Workshop on Robotics

Robotics is a study and applications of technology of Robots.

It is a learning platform for growing young minds which instills out of box thinking.

The first humanoid Robot which also has got a citizenship is “Sophia”.

Robotics is a combination of electronics, electrical and mechanical.

Robotrix Academy conducted a workshop for teachers of science and computer science. They have a curriculum for the students from Std I to X.
