Maharshi Valmiki Jayanthi (24-10-2018)

Valmiki Jayanthi

Valmiki Jayanthi was celebrated on the birth anniversary of the great author Maharshi Valmiki. It is celebrated every year on the full moon day during the month of Ashwin. Maharshi Valmiki authored the epic Ramayana which contains 24,000 shlokas and 7 cantos. Valmiki Jayanthi celebrated with a great devotion in Chinmaya Vidyalaya. Students of Std.VIII recited Rama Raksha Stotram. Few bhajans were presented on this auspicious day. Std X spoke about Maharshi Valmiki’s life and his works. Mrs. Arundhati Naik gave the concluding remarks. Teachers and students were present to mark the day.

Gandhi Jayanthi Celebration 2018

We celebrated 150th Birth anniversary of Bapuji and 114th Birth  anniversary of Shri.Lalbahadur Shastri on 2nd October. There was a beautiful speech given by Shri.Mallangouda Patil on Mahatma Gandhiji. Shared thoughtful life incidents on “Lal Bahadur Shastri ji” by Smt. Anjali teacher. Popular bhajans were sung by all the teachers. Lastly, programme concluded by Shanti Mantra.

Hindi Saptaha 2018

To promote the importance of the National language and to spread the sweetness of the language all around Hindi Saptaha was celebrated in Chinmaya Vidyalaya. Different activities were conducted for the various classes like poem recitation, story telling , jokes and enacting an act.

The Chief Guest of the function was Mrs.Zeenath Dutiya retired Hindi teacher in convent school, Hubballi. The program was appreciated by the Chief Guest. The winners were encouraged by giving the prizes.

KRISHNA JANMASHTAMI 2018  

Chinmaya Vidyalaya celebrated Krishna Janmashtami, the birth of Lord Krishna with great pomp on 3rd September 2018.

The celebration began envolving the blessings of Lord Ganesha , followed by a few speeches on importance of day by students. A short cultural programme was organised which included Krishna Bhajans and Dance. The Chief Guest Praveena Patadia  expressed  her heartfelt appreciation towards the school and children for carrying forward the Indian culture with great zeal. The function came to an end with most awaited event that is Dahi Handi which created a lot of excitement among all the viewers. On the whole the programme was great and successful one.

Guru Poornima Celebration 2018-19

Objective : To Develop Mental ,Spiritual , Devotional skills and build awareness about the Positive Emotions.

Guru Poornima is celebrated every year on July 28th and it is very auspicious day in  Chinmaya Vidyalaya. This being a golden opportunity to offer gratitude towards Guru Parampara. The students of X STD of both State and CBSE students performed the Guru Paduka Pooja under the guidance of Swamiji Krutatmanandaji and Mrs. Ratna Kulkarni. After the pooja ,students presented few Bhajans and a skit depicting the importance of Guru in one’s Life. Some Prizes were distributed and later program ended with the Shanti Mantra and Prasad was distributed.

VERBATTLE 2018  

OBJECTIVE : Developing analytical, critical and quick thinking and in deep research on the given statements. 

5 teams from Chinmaya English Primary School represented by taking part in Verbattle 2018, a State Level Debate Competition organised in Bangalore from 7th August to 10th August. Two Teams reached the semifinal round and one team consisting of students Harish Naik and Pavan Karnam of STD X made it to the finals and stood as 1st Runner-Up and won a cash prize of Rs 10,000.

Independence Day Celebration  

We celebrated 72nd  Independence Day on 15-08-2018. The flag was hoisted by the Chief guest “Mr.Prakash Kothari– a business Tycoon” with great pride national anthem was sung by saluting the National flag. Children expressed their views on Independence Day in English, Hindi and Kannada languages. Children enacted a skit based on “Eradication of corruption, encouraging women empowerment and upholding the principles of unity in diversity”. The celebration ended with Shanti Matra and distribution of sweets to all.

Animal Quiz Competition

            This year we have organized the “Animal Quiz contest ” in our school premises more than thirty students participated in the quiz contest.

Aradhana Day (Seva Day) (03/08/2018)

The visit to the orphanage– Mrutunjaya at Anand Nagar was a memorable experience. The aim was to let the students experience the pain of being an orphan. Students of Standard  Vth A donated biscuits, erasers, pencils, sharpners to the twenty two children in the orphanage. This act has taught them to donate to the less privileged.

The students also visited Mother  Teresa , home for the aged. Students sang songs, told jokes, asked riddles and brought a lot of smiles and laughter in the serene atmosphere. We could feel the happiness the aged experienced. Students were made aware of old age situations.
