Nature drawing competition was conducted in our school for the students from standard Std I to V. The Competition was conducted during the craft period. Children showed their imagination by drawing nature in all its beauty by using coloured crayons. Prizes were distributed by our Head Mistress Smt.Usha Mokhasi.

The competition was held on 3-08-2018 for classes 6th and 7th std Inter-House in Chinmaya English Primary School premises. It consisted of 4 rounds .

- Round 4 – Rapid Fire

Objective : Motivate and Inspire the Xth Std Students
Dr Shaam inspired and encouraged young students to push themselves out of their comfort zone and know the importance of concentration, understanding the depth of subject with a positive attitude. He also stressed on the students to take up their interested field in subject after their schooling and not to go with friends or parents wish in choosing the stream so as to have a better carrier goals in their future.
Objective : To study the working of “AKSHAYAPATRA” (Mid-Day Meals) Health and Hygiene.
Students of STD VI visited “AKSHAYA PATRA” (Mid Day Meals Programme) on 6.07.2019,Friday between 10.00 am to 3.00 pm managed by ISKON. HRO, Mr Rajesh explained the working of Akshay Patra. Food is packed and dispatched to 879 schools in and around Hubli. Even though Food is prepared on a large scale , the hygienic conditions of the system are highly appreciable. Lastly students understood the Conservation of Energy , No Wastage of Food and to maintain Healthy , Hygienic eating habits.

Objective : To understand how Silk is obtained from Cocoons.
As a part of the curriculum, students of STD VII visited sericulture unit at Rayapur on Thursday i.e 12-07-2018 .The Reeling unit is run by the Central Govt whereas the training unit is run by the State Govt. There Officials explained all the steps in the process of Extracting Silk from Cocoons. Students were tried to use their hands at reeling. Weaving of Silk Sarees were demonstrated. Handicrafts made from broken cocoons were displayed (Best from Waste). Dead Larvae are used to extract Oil, make Dog Biscuits etc. Children carried home the information and also some cocoons to Spin Fibers and obtain Yarn.

Objective : To encourage the students to build-up their confidence level and develop their speaking skills with competitive spirit.
It was organised in three rounds i.e Qualifying round, semi-finals and final round. Semi-final Judges were Mrs. Asha Popale and Mrs. Sangeeta Joshi. Whereas Final Judges were Mr. Vishwanath Ranade , Mrs. Arundathi Naik and Mrs. Usha Mokashi.
The Winners of the Competition were Swati Malagi and Harish Naik, Second Runner’s Up were Pawan and Vinayak..C and Third Runner’s Up were Pratham and Akshata of class Xth STD.

Objective : To show Archaeological Site Importance and How to protect them.
The students of std VI A,B,C & D were taken to Banashankari and Chandramouleshwar temples in Amargol and Unkal on 06.07.2018 i.e on friday between 12.00 to 2.30 PM.The outcome of the visit was where children got knowledge about the ancient temples and the architectural style of sculpture in which temples were built.

English Speech Competittion
This is the first English competition conducted in our school for the academic year 2018-19. Different topics were given to different classes.
Judges were Mrs. Arati.K.N and Mrs. Savadi, parents of children studying in Standard 1. They were welcomed with flowers and memento and introduced by Mrs. Rekha Teacher.

Doctor’s Day 2018
On the occasion of Doctor’s Day celebration on 1st July, 2018. Dr. Ramesh Nadiger BDS, MDS a dentist was invited to advice the students of std V.
This day is celebrated in memory of Dr. B. C. Roy whose Birthday also falls on this day.He was a legendary Physician and a social reformer. He was also the Chief Minister of west Bengal. Doctor advised the students the various ways in which they can take care of their teeth.

On the occasion of Guru Tejomayanandji’s birthday on 30th June, Students made birthday greeting cards and showcased their creativity. The best cards were given prizes and certificates.
