Independence Day 15.8.17

  • Objective : To instil a fervour of patriotism. 
  • To know the value of freedom
  • Rights and also our duties as a citizen of India

Independence Day was celebrated with the great fervour of Patriotism. The national Flag was hoisted followed by the National Anthem and pledge. Patriotic songs were sung.

A beautiful skit was performed by Std IX students on freedom fighters .

Outcome : Students came to know the value of freedom, lives of great freedom fighters, Serving Nation.

Krishna Janmashtami 15.8.17

Krishna Janmashtami 15.8.17

Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated with pomp and joy.Students rendered some devotional songs. Beautiful dances were also performed. Krishna pooja was performed by the leaders.

Chief guest Pandit Vittalacharya Magalvedi blessed everyone with his ahirvachana.

The main attraction of the programme was pot breaking (Dahi Handi) by X boys.

Sanskrit Saptaha 4.8.17 – 10.8.17

Number of programs  were conducted through put the week on account of sanskrit saptaha. Various competitions were also organized . They are as follows 

  • Medha Suktam for V and VI
  • Ganapathi Atharvasheersha for VII – X
  • Sanskrit Diwas on Shravana Poornima
  • Students shared articles on “raksha Bandhan” in sanskrit
  • Prizes were distributed.
  • Guidance : Mrs Jayashri Bhavikatti & Mrs Vinuta Kulkarni

Aradhana Day 3/8/2017

  Aradhana Day was observed by performing paduka pooja by Std IX students. Ek mutti chawal was collected and donated to the different orphanages and old age homes.

        A beautiful movie ” On a Quest” was shown to the   students , which depicted the complete life story of Pujya Gurudev. It was a great experience watching the movie which gave beautiful message and values at the same time.

The values grasped were

  1. Gurudev’s vision
  2. Conviction
  3. Dedication
  4. Command over the scriptures.
  5. Determination

A Visit to Agricultural University

        The students of Std X were taken to a study visit to Agricultural University.Firstly they started with a song program in the Krishi Community Radio Station, Dharwad.

             A guidance was given by the staff to enrich the education for the farmers for a better yield. The programmer also boosted our children to give entertainment program for farmers. Few students presented their views on Women Empowerment in Education.It was an amazing experience when we watched sprinklers, soilless cultivation, horizontal pipe cultivation, rectangular pipe cultivation etc.Since agriculture is the main occupation of the country, the visit brought the awareness about the same.

A Visit to Sericulture

Students of Std VII visited Sericulture unit, Rayapur to gain first hand knowledge of life cycle of silk moth & the process of obtaining silk.

           The staff of Sericulture Unit were delighted to have us there. They explained the different steps involved in the process of obtaining silk. Life cycle of the silk moth was explained through a self explained video. Children were allowed to carry cocoons & the silk yarn they spun.

                  In all it was a wonderful experience but at the same time we were bit concerned about the working conditions of the workers,

Rakhi making & Raksha Bandhan Celebrations

                            Rakhi Making Competition for the school students was organised by pedelite company. Students of std 2 to std X were busy making beautiful rakhis. And the unique thing about the programme was that these rakhis were sent to the jawans at the border safeguarding our country.

          Children developed a proud feeling that the love and affection for their brothers , in the form of rakhi has reached safely.

ISKON visit

               Students of Std VI were taken to Akshay patra to know the importance of food and hygiene. Akshay patra is the biggest kitchen in Hubballi. Students wear a cap and were taken to different units of the kitchen. Each process was clearly explained by the supervisors there. After taking rounds , children were made to sit in a hall and were addressed by Mr Rajesh Patki. He gave a brief history of Akshay Patra. 

                 This visit also gave a better understanding about the nutrients, a balanced diet and also the process involved in providing food to innumerable pupils.

Visit to Chandramouleshwar temple

The students of Std VI were taken to a study trip to Chandramouleshwar temple. This monument is declared as the monument of National Importance by Archaeological Survey of India.It is 900yr old templeconstructed during thr reign of Chalukyas. There are two lingas in the temple one of which is Chaturmukhi. The temple has sculputured walls and pillars of black granite.

              Children really enjoyed the visit and at the same time felt proud of such a unique architecture.

Village Visit by Std X

Students of Std X were taken to a village Sulla, nearly 6 Km from the school. Students observed the fields of green grams, groundnut, fruits and gooseberry. They even tried their hands on ploughing the field and came to know the nature of the work. 

                   Various sapplings were grown to considerable heights. They also saw cattle sheds, temples and also storage machines in which milk supplied by the villagers is stored and later taken to Dharwad Milk Federation.

 Children were very eager to know the village life and were happy during their visit.
