The opening ceremony of sports event for the academic year 2022-23 after a gap of two years of pandemic as the entire country has come back to normalcy. We were honoured to have Smt.Kavya Somnath as our guest, who is also a volley player and has presented India at International volleyball tournament. The dat started with Marchpast by the students of both the wings, which was judged by our judges. The students of State School and CBSE School enthralled the gathering with their display drill which was appreciated by the Guest and the management members.

Smt. Kavya Somnath being a sports person encouraged the students to take active part in sports of their choice and advised them to give equal importance for academic to lead a disciplined, healthy successful life.

A study visit was organised on 20^th November, 2022 to Dharwad Agricultural University and Research centre. The visit has been an enriching experience which allowed the students to think, which allowed the students to think, interact and develop deeper understanding of agricultural theory (seed processing). About 125 students to the seed processing godown where all different varieties of seeds, storage and working was explained by Phd. student Mr.Chetan.

Then, we headed to Science Research Centre where the students witnessed numerous models depicting our cultural heritage, thermodynamics etc.

Students of Class VIII went on a field trip to Parle-G Biscuit factory as a part of a lesson in Social science ‘Industry’ where they got an opportunity to watch the production of biscuits right from the ingrediants used to kneading to mixing , shaping and baking.

The excited students were also taken to the auditorium of the factory to see a small documentary and animated videoclips capturing the whole process of production of the oldest biscuit company of the country.

Mr. Basavraj Angadi, the Supervisor of the factory guided the students the

roughout the day in learning happening inside the factory.

Each student was offered a packet of biscuit and toffee as a token of a sweet memory.

National Unity day is celebrated on 31^st October. The day marks the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel who had a major role in the political integration of India ‘Run for Unity’ was organized by Chinmaya School (CBSE) in which students of Std VIII and IX participated with great enthusiasm and vigor. They ran through the streets around the school thus spreading the message of ‘Unity in Diversity’.

Valmiki, who is regarded on the poet harbinger or Adikavi his Sanskrit literature was remembered and contributes on his birth anniversary. Teachers spoke on the importance of Maharshi and his famous work Ramayana

The nation owe a lot to both M.K.Gandhiji and L.B.Shastriji who were the eminent figures among the freedom fighters of our nation, 2^nd October, which marks their birthday. This year too students of 7^th Std remembered their services in their speeches they rendered on same day. The teachers present a group song dedicated to both the leaders and also sang the bhajan ‘Vaishnav Janatho thene kahiyrje’. The program ended with Vote of thanks.

It is very true the principals are the backbone of the schools. Their tireless work, unconditional service and devotion makes the school to function smoothly. Hence to recognize their selfless service and contribution. The school celebrates Principals day every year on 24^th August. This year to the students of Std X hosted a small programme to render their respect and love towards them. Students spoke about the importance of the Principal in school. They even present a poem dedicated to them and honoured with small token of appreciation which included a greeting card , pen and bouquet made by the students along with pen. Even a few games were conducted for them to be entertained. Both Mrs. Arundhati Naik and Mrs. Bhuvaneshawri N felt overwhelmed and happy making their day a memorable one.

‘Good teachers are the reason ordinary students dream to do extra ordinary things’

Teachers’ day celebrated on 5^th September each year is to commemorate the noble contribution and sciene to the field of education by one of the nations amazing teacher, Dr.Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan. A small function was organized by the school management in State School premises to remind and reward their duties and contribution. This coveted occasion saw the presence of an eminient personality from the teaching field, Dr.Gurudevi U Huleppanavarmath retd. Lecturer of Lingrag college, Belagum who has master over both English and Kannada language. In her address she explained the importance of the teachers as the builders of the nation. In her speech she even appreciated the culture followed by the school and the surrounding looks which had blessing of eminient personalities of the Nation and Pujya Gurudev. She even gave various guidelines to carry on their duties in a righteous manner . The programme also included the invocation song and speech on the importance of the day followed by the prize distribution to the winning teachers. Students of Std X had organized various games on the eve of Teachers’ Day which was enjoyed with full zeal and enthusiasm. The day ended with delicious lunch organized by the Management for all the teachers.
