Sanskrit Day (12.08.2022)

Every the year the Nation celebrates World  Sanskrit day on 12 August to promote its revival and provocation of the mother of all languages. Hence, our school organized various events to celebrate Sanskrit Diwas. A written quiz was conducted for Std 6, 7 and 8th where students identified the names of animals, fruits and transportation in Sanskrit language. For Primary classes that is Std 3, 4 and 5, the events included oral quiz on names of the months, weeks and parts of the body.

The prize winners was rewarded by the Heads of the Institution. The Sanskrit teacher Shri. Shrinidhi K took the charge of carrying out the celebration and inculcate love and passion for the language of God by all.

World Literacy Day (08.09.2022)

It has been rightly sail “illiteracy is the poison and book is its antidote’.

The school organized a small programme on ‘International Literacy Day’ to highlight the significance of literacy for individuals, communities and societies. The day began with a beautiful thought followed by speech stressing on the importance of literacy. Thereafter, a small kit was presented stating the importance of ‘education for all’. The student of Standard VII to the charge of celebration. Even A period was also allotted to the students of X to visit the library and read the books to inculcate the interest for the same.

National Sports Day (29.08.2022)

National Sports day was celebrated in Chinmaya School(CBSE) on 29th August 2022. The celebrations was to honour the birth Anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand, the hockey legend. The Physical Instructor Mr. Barker in his speech threw light on the life ofMajor Dhyan Chand and also spoke about the importance of staying fit and healthly. A small Quiz was also arranged on the theme ‘Hockey’ for the students in assembly. The Sports Captain Shrushti Bankapur shared information about the importance of the day and sports in students life.

International Lefthanders Day Celebration (13-08-2022)

Left Handers Day was celebrated on 13th August 2022 by conducting Handwriting Competition (for Left Handers only) for Std VI to X. It was started in 1976. Left handers better verbal skills with a multi-tasking ability sense the conversations between their right and left hemispheres seems to get processed faster. Lefties also enjoy advantages in sports like tennis and badminton as most people being right-handed find it difficult playing against them.

This day is celebrated to raise awareness about southpaws and their relatively marginalized place in the world.

76th Independence Day Celebration(15-08-2022)

‘The nation is not the land- it is the people, in transforming the people we shall have a great Nation.’

Chinmaya Institutions, Hubballi celebrated 76th Independence Day with great zeal by starting the day with the hoisting of the national flag by the Chief Guest. The celebration of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav was marked with great patriotic fervour and enthusiasm among all. The colourful cultural bonanza presented on the day included patriotic dance, songs, skit and speeches. The highlight of the day’s event was formation of seventy five by the students while marching to the tune of “Deshbhakti Geet” and dedicating a song to the nation on the completion of 75 years of Independence which was sung by 75 students including the band set. The Chief Guest, Dr. Ashwin Kulkarni, a noted Neurosurgeon of the city, witnessed the marchpast by the students and appreciated the events organized by the school for the occasion.

The celebration had started a week back with many competitions and programmes planned to commemorate “Amrit Mahotsav”. An Interschool Social Science Quiz was conducted where nearly 20 schools of the city took part in it and made it a successful one. Also a patriotic song singing competition was conducted for the parents of the School children from Std LKG to X and saw a participation of 100 parents. At school level Salad making and making Flag with pulses and cereals was organized based on theme ‘Tiranga’. Children enjoyed doing it. There was also singing of patriotic song by students of class 6th to 10th for the whole week on the eve of 15th August celebration. The management and Heads of the Institution expressed their happiness and praised everyone for putting up an extravaganza for the day.

Aradhana Day (03-08-2022)

In remembrance of the founder of our Chinmaya Mission, Pujya Gurudev and his remarkable service to the society, the school, every year, on 3rd August observes “Maha Samadhi Day or Aradhana day”. The school take initiative to perform seva through collecting “Ek muthi Chawal” from teachers and students of all the classes (I to X). Many contribute even channa dal, toor dal, Jaggery and fruits. The collected groceries are later distributed to the 

orphanages. This year it was   donated to Saiyujyam (Public Charitable Trust) & Shri.Channaveera Sharanara andhara kalyan aashram. During assembly the students of Std V explained the importance of the day by narrating a few memorable incidents from Swami Chinmayanandaji’s life. Later Inter house Quiz was conducted based on the theme “Gurudev and Chinmaya mission”.

 

Kargil Vijay Diwas (26-07-2022)

Chinmaya English Primary School celebrated “Kargil Vijay Diwas” to pay tribute to the Kargil Martyrs who sacrificed their life while safeguarding the country. Students of Standard VI and VII brought out significance of the day through patriotic songs and dance. The performance filled the atmosphere with patriotism and emotion. The programme came to an end by remembering the sacrifices of Kargil heroes. The Principal in her concluding remarks appreciated. The initiatives and efforts of the in-charge teachers and students.

Mind Your Mind (30-07-2022) (Workshop for Std X CBSE and State students)

To help the students to cope up with their mind and to manage it properly, a workshop was organized by Mrs. Anjali for the students of Std X of both the wings of Chinmaya Vidyalaya. The resource person Dr. Bhushan Gramopadhyay succeeded in harmonizing and liberating the young minds through his impactive and gripping words. The PPT showed by his taught the students how to control their mind and not get deviated to wrong path, the gave wonderful tips to train their mind in proper way. The workshop was found to be very effective and knowledgeable.

Social Science Quiz (29-07-2022)

‘Knowledge has a beginning but no end’

To imbibe the feeling of competitive spirit among students, the social department organized an Inter house quiz competition was conducted on 29th July 2022. The students from Std VIII to X were selected to represent their houses. Every team has participated enthusiastically and gave a tough competition to each other. The Vyasa  house stood out as the winners. The quiz comprised of 8 rounds. Each round saw a brilliant performance by the participants who rapidly answered the questions. Even the audience where thrilled and actively participated in their round too.  The Management and Principals applauded the teachers and students to showcase such an enriching competition.

Food Fest

“Desi Tadaka”

‘Cooking with love provides food for the soul’

To bring together the importance of Desi food, a fun filled food fest was organized by the school. The main objective behind the event  was making the children to take and get acquitted with the staple foods of different states of India and understand their food culture. The students of Std IX and X took active part in the fest and showcased same of the signature dishes beautifully. The fest ‘Desi Tadka’ presented an array of sumptuous food on the plates which attracted those who  all visited. The event was also collaborated with the project under the heading ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ by presenting and comparing the delicious of both Karnataka and Uttarakhand under Art Integrated project. The efforts taken by the students planning committee and Mrs. Bhuvaneshwari N and Mrs. Amruta G was appreciated by the Management, Principal and teachers. The Best stall was chosen on the bases of the collection of the coupons and was rewarded with a cash prize.
