Spell Bee Competition

An Inter school spell bee competition was organized  in the school basement for Grade 5. This competition gave students a platform to learn spelling, increase their vocabulary and pronunciation. Children from both State and CBSE wing participated in it. From every division of Grade 5 (A, B, C) there were 4 participants. The 2nd runner up of the competition is 5th C of State Wing. 1st runner up was 5th A of CBSE Wing and winner is 5th C of CBSE wing.

          The programme was coordinated by Primary English Department. Teachers and students’ efforts and initiative was appreciated by all.

Story telling Competition (09-07-2022)

The programme was organized to bring out the inner talent of the children. Many moral values were inculcated in the children. Props were used as per their story and they narrated using the props in a beautiful manner. High school teachers Mrs. Nikita Lodaya and Mrs. Sangeeta Joshi were the judges for the competition. The classmates of the participants who were the audience also enjoyed and learnt different moral values. Mrs. Bhuvaneshwari Navada , Headmistress also graced the function and enjoyed the story narrated by children.

Paper Bag Day Celebration (12-07-2022)

Say NO to Plastic Use Paper Bags

World paper bag day is observed across the globe on July 12th every year to reconfirm the much needed daily use of paper bags over plastic bags. The programme started with informative speech by Ms.P.S.Shipora on the importance of  “Safe paper bags” and plastic pollution. All the teachers, Headmistress and students participated in this programme, at the end of the programme a sapling was given to the heads  as a token of love and respect. Mrs. Bhuvaneshwari Navada, Headmistress also spoke a few words about importance of paper bags which was very inspiring for everyone.

Vana Mahotsav Celebration (02-07-2022)

“Think Green and live Green”

Vana Mahotsav means “Tree Festival”. This planting festival is observed annually over a period of week starting from 1st July to 7th July. Van Mahotsav was started in 1950 by Dr.K.M.Munshi, Union Minister for Agriculture. The programme was started with informative speech on the importance of safeguard trees and forest. Children of Pre-Primary and Primary gave awareness speech on Van Mahotsav. There was an activity for the students to plant a sapling using mud, water and sprouts. The students watered the saplings. The goal is to make a connection between the students and the trees through a process of experience and creation. At the end of the programme saplings were gifted to school. Mrs. Bhuvaneshwari Navada gave some inspiring words about Van Mahotsav. The programme was ended with Shanti Mantra.

Parent’s Orientation Programme (25-06-2022)

“Play, Learn and Grow Together”

Parent’s Orientation is an advanced form of parent teacher meeting. It is an event usually organized to ensure all around student development. The parents of all the Play home students were given a walk through of all the school process.

The Management people, Headmistress of State and CBSE school and all the Pre-primary teachers attended the programme.

Prof. C.C.Dixit was the Chief guest of this programme. The programme was started with an invocating song. Mrs. Bhuvaneshwari Navada, Headmistress gave a brief information on biography of Swami Chinmayanandaji, Chinmaya Mission, history of Chinmaya Vidyalaya, rules and regulations and Chinmaya Vision Programme (CVP).

Prof.C.C.Dixit shared his views on “Parenting is an art”. Shri.Girish Upadhyaya President of Chinmaya Institutions gave his presidential remarks.

The programme ended with Shanti Mantra followed by lunch.

Guru Purnima Celebration (13-07-2022):

“When one finds the true Guru, one conquers half the world”.

Guru Purnima is the one of the most auspicious day in the Hindu calendar. Dedicated to Gurus, this festival, celebrated on the Purnima thithi of Ashadha month, pays an ode to those who impart wisdom and nurture skills.

This year too our school continued celebrating the traditional lineage of GURU-SHISHYA PARAMPARA in a baffling and festive manner. The students of Std  X performed pooja and archana under the guidance of Smt. Ratna Kulkarni, Music teacher. The students along with Principal and teacher showed their    great reverence and devotion towards H.H.Swami Chinmayanandaji by worshiping the Gurupaduka Pooja along with the chanting of gurupaduka stotram. The day was also marked with singing of melodious Guru bhajans and speaking about the significance of teacher in students life. Various competitions were also conducted on the eve of Guru Purnima. The best performers in each were awarded with prizes, Finally, the function concluded with gaiety all around.

Waste Management (06-06-2022)

On account of World Environment Day(5th June 2022) this workshop was conducted. The guest of the day was Dr.Anita Kadagad Kembhave, A proactive socialist and environmentalist, a Yoga Consultant, Ayurveda Consultant Acupuncture Physician, Panchakarma Specialist and Counsellor.

It was an interactive session indeed, the students were well seated, involved and interacted well. The resource person gave a beautiful session on ‘Waste Management’. The guest came down to the children’s level and delivered knowledge lots of slides were shown of the reality in India and some metropolitan polluted cities, Garbage dump yards overflowing with Garbage, some burnt areas etc. She also stressed on the “Indian Civic Sense” and how the students could play their role in bringing about a change. She also demonstrated how to do a kitchen compact pit. She also demonstrated “3(R’s) Reduce-Reuse-Recycle”. Use of bags to collect all dry and wet trash at homes, in schools etc. “Segregation of Waste” into wet and dry.

World Music Day Celebration (22-06-2022)

Music is the Universal language of mankind. The school celebrated World Music Day on 21st June 2022 under the leadership of all the music teachers along with students who conducted various activities to bring out the significance of the day and also to kindle love for the music among the audience present in the auditorium. The celebration started with a speech on the importance of the music in life by a student followed by a display of saptaswara. The highlight of the day was a marvellous Tabla Jugalbandhi which filled the atmosphere with the treat. There was also groups song performed by the students which added a bliss to the day.

Yoga Day Celebration (21st June 2022)

“Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self”.

The International yoga day was conducted on 21st June 2022 early in the morning in the Assembly ground. Nearly 80 students along with parents and a few teachers took part in this mass yoga session which started in the morning at 6.45am and ended at 7.45am. The Guest for the day was the head of the Patanjali Yoga Centre, Hubballi, Shri. Irappa Kadappanavar.

The students and all other present on the ground performed suryanamaskar and Asanas under the guidance of the yoga instructor who was also the guest also told about the importance of each asana performed on the day. The parents present who were part of this celebration felt excited and found it a great experience. They thanked the school management for giving an opportunity to demonstrate yoga along with students. The heads of the institution also made it a point to be part of the day and thanked the Guest for accepting their invitation and sharing the valuable knowledge with all.

Investiture Ceremony (11-06-2022)

‘Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality’

The most auspicious ceremonial occasion of the school Investiture ceremony was celebrated on 11th June 2022, with full zeal and enthusiasm. It is one of the most momentous occasions. When the school entrust hope, faith and mantle the responsibilities to the newly appointed school leaders. The elected students of Standard X were acknowledged with the same by the Chief Guest Police Inspector of Keshwapur Hubballi, Shri. Jagadesh Hanchinal, popped the batches and administered the oath to them. A garland of motivated words delivered by him, guided the students to be role models and render their responsibilities sincerely. He also advised the students to inculcate the values of punctuality, discipline, dedication and determination as they are the torch bearers of tomorrow. The had a grand look with the presence of the management members, heads of institution, parents and teachers along with students who took active part in the function. The day ended with vote of thanks.
