Geeta Jayanthi

Geeta Jayanthi is a great day for all the Hindus. A day when Lord Krishna started advising Arjuna about his duties in the form of Bhagavatgeeta. It is celebrated in our Vidyalaya on 8th December by chanting all the 18 chapters of Bhagavatgeeta, Different schools of Hubli city are invited to chant different chapters.

          On account of Geeta Jayanthi, Geeta Chanting competitions were conducted for Vidyalaya students. 18th chapter was taken up for competition.

          Mono acting competition was held for Std III to V students (CBSE). Topic was given as the characters of Mahabharatha. Many students participated enthusiastically and presented very well.

          All the prizes were distributed on Geeta Jayanthi day. Geeta Jayanthi is also celebrated as “Tapovana Jayanthi” as it is the birthday of Swami Tapovan Maharaj who was the spiritual Guru of Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayanandaji.
